"Triangle is the only national fraternity for students majoring in engineering,
architecture, and the sciences."
Welcome Purdue Triangle Alumni
Centennial Celebration and Homecoming 2009
Dear Alumni Brother,
The Active Brothers of Triangle Fraternity invite you and your family to attend the Purdue
Chapter of Triangle’s Centennial Celebration and Homecoming 2009.
On April 8th, 1909, the Purdue Chapter of Triangle became the second installation of
the fraternity founded by sixteen civil engineering students at the University of Illinois
two years earlier.
This year, our chapter will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of this event. Our
Centennial Celebration will take place on the weekend of October 3rd, 2009, to coincide
with the Purdue University Homecoming Celebration. On Saturday, October 3rd, the Purdue
Boilermakers square off against the Northwestern Wildcats at a time to be determined.

Alumni Message Board
We have a new message board,
where you can catch up with your pledge brothers and coordinate pledge class trips back to Purdue.
Check it out and post some messages!
Active Chapter Membership Up
The actives are putting an extra effort into rush this year to increase the number of actives living in the
house to 50 next fall and to return the house
to full occupancy shortly thereafter.
With that goal in mind, we are reminded that the best rush candidates often come from alumni referrals. If you know a good rush candidate who will be a freshman at Purdue, let the actives know about
him! You can use the contact message form to transmit the information.
Property Manager Hired
The alumni board has hired Dick's Property Management Service to develop and execute a long-term
maintenance plan for the chapter house. This will ensure that the house is in good physical
condition
year after year. The actives do a great job of fixing the smaller problems and keeping the house
clean, but the major house systems require the time and knowledge of a professional property
manager.
With Dick's help we've recently installed heating and air conditioning in the rack room, upgraded the fire alarm system, installed new hot water storage
tanks and water softener, replaced the counter tops in all three
study wing bathrooms, and upgraded the equipment
in the kitchen. During the summer Dick is working on the study rooms... cleaning all of the rooms, replacing the locks,
and doing electrical safety upgrades. The house is in the best condition it's been in quite a few
years!
The latest improvement in January 2006 is heating and air conditioning for the rack room!
Get Registered in the Alumni Database
Ever wonder how your pledge brothers are doing? What they're up to? Where they're living?
Some of your old friends might be just a few minutes away -- and you don't know it!
Triangle Fraternity has hired E-Greek LLC to provide a private and secure site where
brothers of Triangle can keep in touch with one another and their chapter. Each chapter has
its own private area at the
searchable
alumni database and it takes only a few moments to update your contact information.
